  1. Will my program be 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening when I have it compounded? Even though we use pure powders without fillers, the bulk of the nutrients is sometimes just too great and we may have to use multiple capsules to fill the prescription.
  2. Are the prescriptions automatically made up after my appointment? We do not send anything without your authorization, including refills. We do have an automatic refill system if you wish us to go ahead and refill the prescription without calling us each time. You must request to be placed on this system.
  3. When should I reorder? Since each prescription is unique each patient, your program is made when it’s ordered. It takes approximately 2 hours to prepare your prescription and in some areas shipping times can be lengthy, therefore we request that you place your order 2 weeks before you run out. Click here for online order form.
  4. Why do I have more left of one prescription than the other? Your prescription is carefully counted and recounted before it’s shipped. While 100% compliance is ideal sometimes doses are missed and can result in unevenness especially over the period of a year.
  5. If I am out of the AM prescription could I just give the PM vitamins in the morning to replace the AM dose? The AM and PM prescriptions are different and should not be interchanged. A dose should never be doubled up because it was missed.
  6. Why are my vitamins a different color than the last time? This may be due to naturally occurring color differences in the nutrients, changes in prescription, or exposure to moisture in your home. Please store your prescription in a cool dark area (not the refrigerator or medicine cabinet) and leave the desiccant packages in the bottle. Please call with any questions or concerns.
  7. Are the prescriptions covered by insurance? Each individual carrier is different. You may request predetermination of coverage and a claim form from your prescription card carrier.
  8. Is there an easy way to give my child his/her vitamins? Some vitamins naturally have a strong odor/taste. The best way to avoid this is to swallow the capsules whole. Practice first with empty capsules filled with a powder of your choice. If the patient is unable to swallow, the capsules may be opened and mixed with a small amount of soft food, undiluted fruit juice, flavored syrups, or diluted and drawn up into an oral syringe. Sometimes we must be very creative, but it can be done!
